Best Residential Mosquito Control
If you want the best mosquito control for your yard, prepare your plan in early spring. Your plan will involve you controlling standing water and hiring a professional mosquito control service. Eighty five percent (85%) of yards we treat have standing water issues that homeowners either don't have the time to manage or just can't see because they are not mosquito control professionals.

Mosquito Facts to know if you want to control mosquitoes in your yard.
- A 1/2" of rain lasts 1 week on average.
- A mosquito can develop into an adult mosquito in 1 week.
- Most people believe summer is the start of mosquito season, but in reality, mosquito season begins when outdoor temperatures warm to 50°F or warmer. (We start treating yards in April)

Water = Mosquitoes. When you get bit by a mosquito, it is a female mosquito and she needs blood to lay her eggs which means more mosquitoes.
The best mosquito control follows a basic mosquito reduction plan.
- As a homeowner you need to remove items in your yard that trap water, like buckets, tarps, flower pots etc. If your possessions are valuable place them indoors out of the rain.
- If you haven't cleaned your gutters in recent memory, it's time to have them cleaned.
- If water puddles in different areas in your yard after rain, consider fixing those areas by adding more soil, adding plants, etc.
- If you use corrugated gutter extensions, by design they hold water and act as mosquito breeding grounds.

Once a homeowner has completed their water control, call Curren to remediate & control the mosquitoes for the season. Curren will:
- Inspect your yard and point out areas of water management you missed (98% of yards need our advice)
- Curren will apply a ULV (Ultra Low Volume) dose of an EPA registered insecticide that will provide an immediate knockdown of mosquitoes and provide up to 3 weeks of mosquito control. (How would you like to only cut your lawn every 3 weeks?).
- Our precise applications are called a barrier treatment and we apply it to foliage, perimeter fences and mosquito breeding grounds (under decks, sheds, ivy, cool places mosquitoes live during the day).

The photo below shows a good representation of where Curren treats. The white line represents a perimeter applications which is designed to intercept mosquitoes entering your yard. Bushes and foliage inside the white line gets treated, which knocks down mosquitoes living in the foliage at time of application and is designed to control mosquitoes that enter your yard. Remember all mosquitoes must land to rest and suck the natural sugar from foliage for food)
