Do I have mold?

We have completed thousands of inspections pertaining to mold and many sites had mold.   Many owner suspected areas of mold were  found to not be mold.  So mold can be a crap shoot for sure.

The odds of you having mold are very contingent on your reasons for suspecting you have mold, common calls to our office regarding mold in no particular order as follows:

My home is listed for sale and home inspector found suspect mold.

I am buying a home and have asthma and want a mold inspection

I detect a musty odor.

I have reoccurring spotting/staining on a wall.

I am having health issues and I suspect mold.

These are probably our most common scenarios that triggers a mold inspection.   Our mold inspectors have the benefit of having hands on experience with both mold inspections and mold remediation.    Remediation projects can really provide priceless experience for inspectors as that is when walls are opened up, insulation moved, you can actually trace the old growth to source areas that an inspector may not readily detect.  It helps to have full circle experience with inspection and remediation. 

Mold in homes sales is pretty common and we have found mold in both new and older housing stock both the same and vastly different reasons.
